According to HRM, the safe sungazing times are when the UV Index is below 2.0. During the winter months, nearly all day is below 2.0. The further from the equator a person travels, the lower the UV Index.

There is no substitute for genuine sun light exposure. The artificial lights have been shown to help supplement sunlight, however the sun does have far more energy waves than simply UV or IR. There is a prana / chi energy quality to genuine sunlight that cannot be replicated in artificial lights.

I do recommend replacing all light bulbs with Full Spectrum lighting. Be sure to use authentic full spectrum lighting. You will find some recommended blubs in the right sidebar menu.

The more you begin to take small steps to increase your sun light exposure, this practice will become part of your daily life. Not a day goes by where I don't welcome and celebrate the sun - even if it's only a brief walk outside to my car. Start small and you everything you do will add up.

Many blessings.

I adore the Sun!

The problem is that I live in MI where many days, there is not enough.... How to live the sun-filled life in a northern climate. Is there an article, book, dvd--direct, practical, info on how to live that ancient, sun-worshiping life in 2009, in MI.

The simulated lights just don't seem to do it--penetrating that cellular level--maybe if they looked like the sun, felt like the sun...

What do you suggest?

PS. I have lived in various "sun" places in my life. Presently, I live with my mate in MI. How do I fill the missing "sun?"

Thanks for your insight!
